The same explanations you find in the app by tapping ? in Inventory, all on one page.
Have a backup? Import it from Settings. You can mix them: for example, start from the kit and then scan what is missing.
Tap + at the bottom right of Inventory: name, category (pick one or type a new one), minimum stock and how many you have. With the barcode button above the +, you find an item or create it: we look up the name from the package.
Tap the green + next to the item and enter how many you bought. The price is optional but tells you how much you spend; the expiry date turns on the reminders. In To buy, “Record your shopping” adds them all at once.
Tap − next to the item to remove one. For other quantities, open the item and choose “Use”. If you make a mistake, tap “Undo” in the message at the bottom.
Enter the expiry date when you add stock: the app reminds you the day before and uses up what expires first. If you throw something away, open the item and choose “Throw away”: its cost shows up as waste in Reports.
Anything below its minimum stock goes there by itself, with a suggested quantity. “Buy soon” shows what will run out in the next few days, based on how much you use.
A session groups what you do at one time, for example a shopping trip or a dinner with friends: start it in Inventory with “Open a session”, record what you add or use, then close it. History shows the total and the details.
Reports show how much you spent and used, by month and category, and how much ended up as waste. Set a monthly limit in Settings › Shopping budget.
At the bottom of Inventory, “Stock count” lets you count everything and fixes the differences. For a single item, open it and choose “Fix quantity”.
Settings › Export backup saves all your data to a file (in Downloads, on Drive, by email). On the new phone, install the app and use Settings › Import backup.
